Joint-Stock Company "Montazhnoe Upravlenie №3" (Assembly Department 3) is one of the oldest electrical installation and wiring enterprises of the Ural region. It acquired its official legal status in 1942 when it was a part of the Trust "Uralelektrosetstroy".
At the course of its lifetime "Montazhnoe Upravlenie №3" (further down JSC "MU-3") has changed the subordination quite a few times. Back in the 60s-70s the company was subordinate to the Trust "Elektrotzentromontazh" and numbered up to 1200 experts. JSC "MU-3" operated on the huge area on behalf of the Ministry of Energy of the USSR: the Southern Urals, Bashkiria and Kazakhstan.
The senior generation of circuit-installers takes pride in the fact that three of Chelyabinsk cogeneration plants, the hydroelectric power plants in Troitsk and Yuzhnouralsk and the cogeneration plant in Kurgan were launched by their common efforts. JSC "MU-3" took part in the installation of the unique block on fast neutrons BN-600 at Beloyarskaya nuclear power plant and assembled equipment on a substation of the ultra-high-voltage electric main of 1150 kV "Ekibastuz-Ural".
Today JSC "Montazhnoe Upravlenie №3" (Assembly Department 3) is an affiliated Company of Public Corporation "Elektrouralmontazh" which is a part of the industrial group "Uralinvestenergo".
